Webinar: "Removing God from Justice? What’s at Stake for Ireland" A Conversation with Fr. Brendan Kilcoyne

A major change is being proposed in Irish public life by Fine Gael TD Barry Ward.

The Thirty-ninth Amendment of the Constitution (Judicial Oath of Office) Bill 2025 aims to remove references to God and gendered language from the oath taken by judges in Ireland. For centuries, judges have sworn to uphold justice “in the presence of Almighty God.” That solemn declaration, rooted in a higher moral authority, may soon be erased — replaced with a secular and stripped-back alternative.

What does this mean for our faith, our legal system, and the future of Christianity in Irish public life?

Join us for a powerful and honest live webinar on Monday, April 14th at 8pm, where Fr. Brendan Kilcoyne of Immaculata Productions will discuss the deeper significance of this proposal with host Paddy Manning.

Together, they’ll explore the importance of the judicial oath, why the removal of God from public life matters and what this signals for the future of Christianity in Ireland.

This is a conversation for anyone concerned about the erasure of our Christian heritage from public life.
