In Ireland, the Waterford TD, John Halligan, hopes to resurrect his Dying with Dignity bill, even though he is unable to table a bill without the support of the Taoiseach and the cabinet. The reason for this is the fact that he is the Minister of State at the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation and the Department of Education and Skills with special responsibility for Training, Skills, Innovation, Research and Development. No shortage of verbiage for this paragon of the Left, be it about the approved causes of official Ireland, or to denigrate President Trump, an ever-ready object for abuse. This is the same man who complained when his local bishop, Alphonsus Cullinan, refused to allow him to be his godson’s sponsor at confirmation, because he has made it crystal clear that he does not believe in God.
