Family & Life to organise Mass on Day for Life at Knock Sunday, October 6th

Family & Life is pleased to announce a special Mass to be held on Day for Life, Sunday, October 6th at 10:15 a.m. in the Apparition Chapel at Knock Shrine.

This Mass will be offered up for the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death and will also be offered for the happy repose of the souls of deceased supporters. 

Day for Life is an annual event celebrated by the Catholic Church across Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales, focusing on the value and dignity of life at all stages. Each year, the Church delivers a message that reflects on the importance of protecting life, particularly at its most vulnerable moments.

This year’s theme, The Lord is my Shepherd – Compassion and Hope at the End of Life, reminds us of Jesus' example of care and compassion. The message emphasises that life, in every form, has dignity, and calls on Catholics to stand firm against societal pressures toward assisted suicide. Instead, we are encouraged to offer support through listening, care, and treatment, ensuring that the final days of life are filled with grace, love, and intimacy.
