Corrupted by One-Child Propaganda

A modern version of the old Chinese curse—May you live in interesting times—might become “May you live in child-free times”. This is happening in China today, even as the Chinese government is promoting two-child families, maybe three, to solve the growing demographic disaster. Young people regard the radical turnaround of one-child rule as “ridiculous” and “dangerous” for the country. After decades of one-child propaganda, the toxic legacy lives on and young people are firmly opposed to having babies.
