Archbishop Removes ‘Catholic’ from Jesuit School

Dr Charles Thompson. Archbishop of Indianapolis, Indiana, has removed the label “Catholic” from Brebeuf Prep School, run by the Jesuits. Two years ago, one of its teachers entered into a same-sex “marriage” in a public manner. This choice was contrary to the central teaching of the Church and to the recognised conditions to be a teacher in a Catholic school. Frustrated by two years of obfuscation and stone-walling by the Jesuit authorities, Dr Thompson decided that enough was enough.
