Euro-Fam (www.euro-fam.org) is constituted by a staff of Europeans from a variety of professional experiences and cultural backgrounds. Transcending denominational and political ideas, the staff of Euro-Fam unite themselves for the sake of true peace and human development. The editors of Euro-Fam act on the conviction that the uncontested, incomparable economic success in Europe since 1945 must be placed at the service of defending and promoting authentic social peace. This conviction, however, is not self-evident, and fundamental elements of social cohesion as they are established in the "European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms" are increasingly and at ever more fundamental levels being thrown into question in the expansion process of European Institutions. It is for this reason that fundamental elements of any social peace - the protection of human dignity, the family, and of the unborn - are so deserving of special attention.
