Debate on Christianity and the European UnionThere is a debate on the above topic taking place on September 29th, 8pm, Royal Irish Academy, Dawson St, Dublin 2. It is being organised by the European Commission and is prompted by Cardinal Sean Brady’s recent speech to the effect that Europe is losing its Christian memory. Debating the issue will be David Quinn, Senator Ronan Mullen, Gina Menzies and Ronan McCrea who had a recent article in The Irish Times sharply critical of the Cardinal’s speech.
