Petition to Protect All Human Life Without Exception!

The decision of the Supreme Court in the 'frozen embryos case' before Christmas highlighted the complete lack of protection that Irish law provides to unimplanted human embryos.

It is a matter of the utmost urgency that legislation be put in place that provides adequate protection for all human embryos, whether or not they are inside their mothers' bodies.

There are those who are pushing for legislation that would treat human embryos as a disposable commodity to be used and abused by the IVF industry and in unethical biotechnology experiments.

Family & Life is calling on Taoiseach Brian Cowen to ensure that legislation is brought forward without delay to guarantee that human life is protected by Irish law from the moment of conception. You can add your voice to this urgent appeal by signing our online petition today.

Petition to the Taoiseach

We call on you to immediately bring forward legislation protecting all human life, including the life of unimplanted human embryos, the tiniest and most helpless of the unborn!

Ireland is well-placed to be a world leader in ethical and effective research on cell-based therapies. It would be reckless to discard this advantage by pursuing dead-end research that destroys innocent human lives.

Banning "embryonic stem cell research" which requires the taking of a human life is enormously important to us, and we will pay close attention to your actions in this life-and-death matter!

Respectfully,
